Viktor Schreckengost
One of America's Most Proflic and Influential Industrial Designers
Schreckengost (1906-2007) designed pedal cars for the Murray Ohio Company. The company was founded in 1910 by J.W. Murray and operated out of Detroit, Michigan until 1919 when the company relocated to Cleveland, Ohio.

Through diligent research and speaking with auto designers, Schreckengost was able to develop good designs for low cost production. Children could use their imagination to the fullest, fantasizing about their next mission in a car race or fire rescue while riding in their pedal cars.
