1953 Chevrolet Corvette Pedal Car

This children's pedal car is #179 of 300 examples manufactured by Pedal Car Factory of Mayville, New York in 2003.  It was built under license of General Motors to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1953 Chevrolet Corvette. The car features a plastic body finished in white and is equipped with a tubular metal frame, a two-pedal drive system, a handbrake, headlights with decal overlays, a faux windshield, an adjustable red seat and polished trim.  The wheels feature Corvette-style covers with stylized whitewalls are mounted with pneumatic rubber tires. 

Sidenote: One of the Pedal Car Factory cars sold at auction for $10,000.00 on Monday, March 14, 2022 after 7 bids. This would cover the cost of three Corvettes in 1953!
